Intro to Ayurveda: Lecture & Movement

Take your yoga to the next level and immerse yourself into an afternoon of diving into the doshas, circadian rhythms, self care practices, seasonal eating, signs of imbalances and ways to promote healing. You’ll learn the basics of Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga, and leave with a deep layer of empowerment to take charge of your own health and wellness. This will be mostly lecture with time for Q&A, gentle movement and a cozy savasana. $40

Gather with community for the sweetness of winter solstice at The Portland Yoga Project.We will gather by candle light for a deeply nourishing winter solstice celebration. You will be guided into soothing breath work and a meditation practice to get you grounded before setting your intention for the new season. Bring your journal or use our scrap paper. A restorative yoga and yoga nidra session for deep sleep will be the bulk of our time together.
We will explore the spiritual significance of the darkness of the winter solstice and this time spent will be an energetic reboot for the nervous system, just in time for the holidays.
